New Skin!
Yay new skin! okay so i have to thank Bianca for helping me(duh cos im a comp dummy) with this! thksthksthks soo much (: thr are still some things i have to change so there might be some weird ass things tt dun make sense nowD:
Sooo now for today's activities. for the first part of the day we went to Sun Yat Sen's villa called Wan Qing Yuan. so fyi Sun Yat Sen is the 'man who changed China' (quote MM Lee Kuan Yew) he headed the revolution in China to overturn the Qing emperor Pu Yi. so in the end the Qing dynasty ended and Sun Yat Sen stopped the Chinese custom of braids for males and feet binding for females. it is what he did then that many years later today that most of us Chinese females are able to run and jump like our male counterparts. so Yay for Dr Sun Yat Sen- his contributions had a ripple effect that affects even people like us today.
So now for the villa. Thank goodness the villa was air-conditioned! everyone was like so heng when we felt the air con lol. there are i think 5 err gallery rooms(?) and one garden(ting yuan in chi. did i get the translation right?see my chi fail D: ). so we had to go from one room to another (plus the garden outside) and at every room and garden thr was someone there to explain to us the architecture and tell us more about Dr SYS.
Each explanation was abt 10 min so we were at the WQY for about 1 hr. we learned tt his actual name is Sun Wen but he changed his name cos ppl were out to capture him. he was in hiding most of the time to avoid getting caught. he came to sg cos thr was a strong support for him. of the 8 times he came here, he stayed at WQY 3 times to formulate plans. Also i learned tt Yishun is act a man's name. kinda cool? haha. i didnt take any pics cos i jus couldnt be bothered to take out my phone. Also not alot of opportunities cos the speakers were talking most of the time. oh i forgot to mention WQY is at Balestier so for those ppl who wanna go check it out you know where to go. its quite nice rly and its also educational. tmr we're going to the Ancient Civilisation Musuem. it sounds interesting so lets hope it doesnt bore me out of my hair.
Oh and whats so nice about Twilight? i dun see wats so good about the movie. Nor the book. though i have read the whole bk. i think the whole saga is waste-paper cos Stephaney Meyer jus bombards u with shit descriptions of things u wouldnt rly care abt,also the person who did the casting is a bitch who chose robert pattinson to be edward. bella is abominable as well.AND ROBERT PATTINSON DOESN BATHE!!!!!!!!!!!!! how gross is that. okay anyway no offence from the Twilight hater(as of watching the movie. Blame Movies!! hehe) but srsly. Twilight is overrated.
